  8. The Guide to Select BBS's on Internet (The SBI List) is a comprehensive
  9. listing of privately-owned BBS systems accessible by telnet, rlogin, or
  10. World-Wide-Web.

  12. The current 1/96 listing contains 468 Internet Accessible BBS systems 
  13. from around the world, and is the most complete list of its kind 
  14. available anywhere.  
  15.  
  16. The SBI list is available in many formats, including an extensive WEB
  17. page with telnet and WEB page links to each BBS on the list.  
  18.  
  19. The SBI list is also an "official" Telnet-able BBS FAQ available
  20. on the alt.answers, news.answers, and comp.answers moderated Internet 
  21. Usenet newsgroups.

  23. Sysops - becoming a part of the list is free and encouraged!  Read the 
  24. SYSOP.DOC file available via FTP or FINGER below for more information. 
  25. An interactive WEB input form for new/updated BBS information is
  26. also available.  Visit the SBI home page for more information.

  28. The SBI list has been published in several national magazines, including
  29. Boardwatch and West Coast Online, and is scheduled for regular
  30. publication in BBS Magazine.  The list is also scheduled to be featured
